Suresh Mandava, M.D., is the Medical and Surgical Director of Fairfield County Laser Vision. He is one of the few refractive surgeons who has performed thousands of complete LASIK procedures. “Complete LASIK” means that Dr. Mandava performs the consultation, screening, measurements, surgery, and post-operative care for every patient. We believe that this is the ultimate way to deliver laser vision correction — with a fellowship-trained specialist every step of the way. Dr. Mandava is a board certified ophthalmologist, fellowship-trained in laser vision correction, LASIK, PRK, and external ocular and corneal disease.
Dr. Mandava graduated from Cornell University and received his medical degree from the Yale School of Medicine. He completed his internship at Greenwich Hospital. Serving as Chief Resident during his ophthalmology residency at Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital, Dr Mandava co-edited the MEETH Pocket Atlas of Ophthalmology and is currently on staff as a clinical instructor. Dr. Mandava completed his fellowship in refractive and corneal surgery at the University of Minnesota, where he received the prestigious Heed Fellowship Award and became one of the first cornea specialists to be fellowship-trained in laser vision correction, including LASIK and PRK. He is on staff at Greenwich Hospital and Greenwich Ophthalmology Associates as well as a corneal and refractive specialist.
